Current inquiry and research conversations in language education
CIRCLE is a research reading circle for second or foreign language teachers at all levels, anywhere in the world. Our mission is to bring relevant language education research to the attention of teachers of second and foreign languages through selected open-access readings, interviews with researchers and the opportunity to discuss with us and with other language teachers.
There is no charge to take part, and you can participate in any or all of the modules as you wish. You can use the materials freely as a basis for collegial discussion on the module page and/or in your own context, and you do not need to sign up for anything unless you want to join our live Zoom seminars on each module (see each module page for sign-up details).

CIRCLE was created by two teachers from the Department of Teaching and Learning at Stockholm University using public funding.

The Department of Teaching and Learning offers online and campus-based courses and programmes at all levels. You may be interested in our Advanced level courses which can be taken as part of a masters or as stand-alone courses.
